mohair8 on Ravelry

I have started a new group on Ravelry. It’s a Spin-along – Colour Study.

Approximately every month or so the group will spin a hand-dyed roving from mohair8 at UpperCanadaTexiles.ca.

Participants are encouraged to submit information and photos as they make decisions leading up to and during the spinning project.
The more material we each submit the more useful this group will become to each and every one of us when planning future projects.

No two spinners spin the same way. Therefore their results will be different. That is what will make each study so different and interesting. So things like, woolen or worsted technique, wraps per inch, angle of twist etc… are extremely useful. You may choose to 2 ply, 3 ply or Navajo ply or maybe make a novelty yarn. A knitted or crochet swatch are desirable but not necessary if you don’t know how to knit or crochet.

If you just decide to sit down and spin and only send pictures that’s okay too.

This a non-competitive group and information sharing is encouraged.
